On 11 February 2025, Senior Ministers from the 36 Presbyterian Church in Singapore, of both the English and Chinese Presbyteries, gathered for the official Opening Ceremony of our new Synod Office at One Holland Village.
The ceremony began with a sumptuous buffet lunch and a time of worship led by Rev Peter Chan, before Synod Moderator Rev Dr Christopher Chia delivered an exhortation, saying that it is only by God’s grace that Synod was privileged to have an office at the new One Holland Village shopping mall.
Rev Chia also reminded all to remain faithful, for the faith the size of a tiny mustard seed could grow to become a large tree in God’s kingdom. He urged all to remain good stewards of God’s given resources, and to trust that everything will happen in God’s good time.
Thereafter, the pastors stood to pray over the new office together, dedicating the place to be used for God’s ministry and service.
Finally, together with Synod General Secretary Rev
Dr Lim Choon Guan and the incoming Synod Moderator Rev Dr Caleb Soo, Rev Chia led in the ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the official opening of the office to much applause.
How wonderful it is that God has given a venue for the gathering of His people, and the administration of His work! May God’s name be glorified in the office He has given to His servants, as they faithfully serve people in the name of Christ!
